Left Right Left (TV Series)
''Left Right Left'' is an Indian television series that aired on SAB TV. The show was directed by Anshuman Kishore Singh and produced by Tony Singh and Deeya Singh under the banner of DJ's a Creative Unit. The series' second season ended on 26 September 2008. Plot Season 1 The show is based on Kanchanjunga Military Academy where soldiers are trained to serve the nation. Naveen Singh Ahluwalia, who is the narrator of the show tells his story about how he was framed and labelled as a Traitor. The academy is helmed by Brigadier Chandok and his team of army officers. The story narrates the plot of six youngsters who comes from various backgrounds to take admission in the academy. These youngsters are Naina Singh, Amardeep Huda, Ali Baig, Aalekh Sharma, Yadhuvansh Sahni and Pooja Ghai. Together they join the army and become cadets to serve the nation. ''Left Right Left'' is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language political drama film, directed by Arun Kumar Aravind and written by Murali Gopy. ''Left Right Left'' revolves around the lives of Jayan (Indrajith Sukumaran), Roy (Murali Gopy), Sahadevan (Hareesh Peradi), Anitha ( Lena Kumar) and Jennifer (Remya Nambeesan). Released on 14 June 2013, the film was set in three periods – the 60s/70s, the 80s/90s and the present day. It got mostly positive reviews upon release but drew occasional criticism for some of its characters and scenes resembling real-life political leaders and incidents. However, it has gathered a cult status over the years as one of the finest political thrillers ever made in Malayalam. Robert Manne
Robert Michael Manne (born 31 October 1947) is an Emeritus Professor of politics and Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He is a leading Australian public intellectual. Background Robert Manne was born in Melbourne to parents who were Jewish refugees from Europe. His earliest political consciousness was shaped by this fact and that both sets of grandparents were victims of The Holocaust. He was educated at the University of Melbourne (1966–69) (BA) (Honours thesis 1969, "George Orwell: Socialist Pamphleteer") and the University of Oxford (BPhil). He joined La Trobe University in Melbourne in its early years. He served there as a professor in politics and culture until retirement in 2012.
