Lebanese FA Cup
The Lebanon Cup (), commonly known as the Lebanese FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in domestic Lebanese football. In the first FA Cup final, held on 26 June 1938, Nahda beat Hilmi-Sport 3–2 in the replay (after drawing 1–1 the first match). The most successful club in the competition is Ansar with 15 titles, followed by Nejmeh with eight. Ansar have also contested the most finals with 20, followed by Nejmeh with 17. Format Starting from the 2020–21 season, the Lebanese FA Cup includes participation from all 12 teams of the Lebanese Premier League, along with the top four Second Division teams occupying the first four positions after the first half of the season. Lebanese Federation Cup
The Lebanese Federation Cup () is an annual cup competition in men's domestic football in Lebanon. Organised by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), it serves as the domestic league cup to the Lebanese Premier League and is contested before the start of each league season. The cup was first held in 1969, with Al Shabiba Mazraa Beirut, Shabiba Mazraa winning its first edition. After having been played in 1972, the Lebanese Federation Cup was halted for 27 years, before being contested in 1999. It was played twice more, in 2000 and 2004, before being halted once again until 2023. In 2023, the Lebanese Federation Cup replaced the Lebanese Elite Cup and Lebanese Challenge Cup as the pre-season preparatory tournament. A single-elimination knockout, or sudden-death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of a match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion(s). Overtime (sports)
Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament and replays are not allowed. The rules of overtime or extra time vary between sports and even different competitions. Some may employ " sudden death", where the first player or team who scores immediately wins the game. In others, play continues until a specified time has elapsed, and only then is the winner declared. Tadamon Sporting Club Sour (), known as Tadamon Sour or simply Tadamon, is a football club based in Tyre, Lebanon, that competes in the , and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. They play their home matches at the Tyre Municipal Stadium, and have won one Lebanese FA Cup and two Lebanese Challenge Cups. Tadamon Sporting Club Beirut () was a football club based in Beirut, Lebanon. History Founded on 15 June 1961, Tadamon Beirut have participated in the Lebanese Premier League numerous times. In 1986–87 they reached the final of the Lebanese FA Cup, losing 2–0 to Nejmeh thanks to a brace by Mahmoud Hammoud. In the 1991–92 season, Tadamon Beirut finished in first place in Group A, losing the championship play-off to Ansar 4–1 on aggregate. Al Shabiba Mazraa Beirut (; ), also historically known as Cercle de la Jeunesse Catholique in French, was a football club based in the Mazraa district of Beirut, Lebanon.
