Larry Roy
Larry Roy (born November 20, 1960) is an American convicted murderer Capital punishment in Louisiana, sentenced to death in Louisiana for the 1993 double murder of Freddie Richard Jr. and Rosetta Silas in Cheneyville, Louisiana, Cheneyville. Dubbed the "Cheneyville Slasher" by the media, Roy had broke into the home of his former girlfriend (Richard's former wife) on May 3, 1993, and he murdered both Richard and Silas (who was the aunt of Richard's ex-wife) by slashing and stabbing them to death; Roy's ex-girlfriend and her two sons were injured in the same attack. Jeffrey Martin Landry ( ; born December 23, 1970) is an American politician and attorney who has served as the 57th governor of Louisiana since 2024. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 45th attorney general of Louisiana from 2016 to 2024 and as the U.S. representative for Louisiana's 3rd congressional district from 2011 to 2013. Born in St. Martinville, Louisiana, Landry graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Christopher Sepulvado (November 11, 1943 – February 22, 2025) was an American convicted murderer who was sentenced to death in Louisiana for the 1992 murder of his six-year-old stepson, Wesley Allen Mercer, who was beaten with a screwdriver and scalded to death. Gerald James Bordelon (February 19, 1962 – January 7, 2010) was an American convicted murderer and sex offender who was executed in Louisiana for murder. Bordelon was sentenced to death for the kidnapping and murder of Courtney LeBlanc, his 12-year-old stepdaughter. Execution Of Kenneth Eugene Smith
The execution of Kenneth Eugene Smith (July 4, 1965 – January 25, 2024) took place in the U.S. state of Alabama by nitrogen hypoxia. It was the first execution in the world to use this particular method. Smith was convicted of the March 18, 1988, contract killing of Elizabeth Sennett in Colbert County, Alabama. Charles Sennett Sr., Elizabeth's husband, recruited Billy Gray Williams to murder his wife. Williams in turn recruited Smith and John Forrest Parker to assist in the murder. Smith and Parker carried out the murder and stabbed Elizabeth Sennett to death at her home in Colbert County.
