Laois Junior Hurling Championship
The Laois Junior Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition contested by lower-tier Laois GAA clubs. Ballypickas are the 2024 champions, defeating Borris-Kilcotton GAA in the final. As of then, they have won the most (9). Junior A The trophy presented to the winners is the Fr Phelan Cup. The winners of the Laois Junior Championship qualify to represent thecounty in the Leinster Junior Club Hurling Championship. They often do well there, with the likes of Ballyfin (2011) getting to a Leinster Final after winning the Laois Junior Hurling Championship but Kilkenny GAA club St Patrick's beat them on their way to the All-Ireland title."All Ireland club JHC final: Ballyragget come out on top"

Hurling
Hurling (, ') is an outdoor Team sport, team game of ancient Gaelic culture, Gaelic Irish origin, played by men and women. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much glossary of Gaelic games terms, terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. Castletown GAA
Castletown GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling club in County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are blue and white. The current Castletown club was founded in 1974 and has won a total of 8 Laois Senior Hurling Championship titles since 1995. They have also played in 3 Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship finals but lost all 3. Famous Laois intercounty hurlers who have played for Castletown include Paul Cuddy, David Cuddy, Cyril Cuddy, John Lyons, Pat Mullaney, Barry McEvoy and James Hooban. In terms of the club's history, it takes its roots from the Cuddagh team of the late 1950s and early 1960s when the club won Junior and Intermediate titles in successive years and lost out in the Laois SHC final the following year by the narrowest of margins to near neighbours, Camross, who themselves as a result were winning their first title. Errill GAA
Errill GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association gaelic football club in Errill in County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are green and white. The club grounds on the Roscrea Road are called Páirc Eiréil. The club currently amalgamates at all levels of hurling with neighbouring club Rathdowney and in 2006 the Rathdowney-Errill team won the Laois Senior Hurling Championship for the first time ever. The Errill club has twice won the Laois Senior Hurling Championship, (1938 and 1952) and won the Laois Intermediate Hurling Championship in 1981. It also won the Laois U-21 B Hurling Championship in 1997. Although football would be very much a secondary sport in the area, there has been some success with wins in the Laois Junior C Football Championship in 2000 and 2016 and the Laois Junior B Football Championship in 2017 and 2019. Timahoe GAA
Timahoe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the village of Timahoe, County Laois, Ireland. Club colours are red and white and the club grounds are called Páirc Mochua. It provided the venue for the 1984 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final, where Kerry defeated Leitrim. Timahoe's only Laois Senior Football Championship title to date came in 1969 when Tom Joe Bradley captained the club to the county title. Bobby Miller was probably one of Timahoe's greatest ever players while former Laois senior star Pauric Clancy was midfielder on the 2003 Laois team which won the Leinster Senior Football Championship. Current and former Laois senior players Damien O'Connor, Brendan Quigley and Eoin Culliton all play for the club. Clonaslee–St Manman's GAA
Clonaslee St Manman's GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling and Gaelic football club in the village of Clonaslee, County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are green, white and red (differ between green and white or red and white or sometimes green/red/white depending on whether it is hurling or football. History Clonaslee GAA club catered for football and hurling until 1974, when St Manman's Gaelic Football Club was founded and catered exclusively for football. Ballinakill GAA
Ballinakill GAA is a hurling and Gaelic football club in Ballinakill, County Laois, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club colours are maroon and white and the club grounds are in Ballinakill village near the border with County Kilkenny. History In 1888, the Ballinakill club won the first ever Laois Senior Football Championship but these days the club is more renowned as a hurling heartland. Rosenallis GAA
Rosenallis Gaelic Athletic Association club is a hurling and Gaelic football club in the village of Rosenallis in County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are green and white. At adult level, the club is a dual football and hurling club. Rosenallis field football teams at Senior, Junior B and Junior C and Hurling Teams at Senior, Junior A and Junior C. Portlaoise GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) affiliated hurling, Gaelic football and camogie club based in Portlaoise, the county town of County Laois, Laois in Ireland. Kilcotton GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling club in County Laois, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club colours are green with gold trim and a white sash. The grounds are at knockaroo. Formerly primarily hurling club, Kilcotton now operates solely as a Gaelic football club. It amalgamated at all age levels with its neighbouring club, Borris-in-Ossory GAA, with which it competes in hurling as Borris-in-Ossory–Kilcotton GAA, Borris-in-Ossory-Kilcotton GAA.
