The Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel (; ; ; ) is a mostly French-speaking canton in western Switzerland. In 2007, its population was 169,782, of whom 39,654 (or 23.4%) were foreigners. La Brévine (, ) is a Municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Neuchâtel Canton in Switzerland. It is the largest village in its eponymous valley, ''Vallée de la Brévine.'' The area is renowned for its complex microclimate, which is often much colder than nearby locations.
