''La grande corsa verso Lupionòpolis'' is the seventh studio album by Italian songwriter Peppe Voltarelli, released by the record label Visage Music on 26 May 2023. Background ''La grande corsa verso Lupionòpolis'' is Voltarelli's first album since 2021's ''Planetario'', which was awarded the Targa Tenco as best performing album of that year. The Calabrian songwriter presents a collection of songs recorded in New York by Marc Urselli (three Grammy Awards and collaborations with Nick Cave and Lou Reed) at Manhattan's historic East Side Sound, and artistically produced and arranged by Los Angeles-based Italian producer/keyboard player Simone Giuliani (to his credit, productions with Andrea Bocelli and the London Symphony Orchestra). Mauro Refosco
Mauro Refosco (born 16 October 1966), is a Brazilian percussionist. He is best known for his work with singer David Byrne and the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He was a member of the experimental supergroup Atoms for Peace – featuring Thom Yorke and Flea – and the forró band Forro in the Dark. Refosco was also briefly a member of Dirty Projectors. Since 2019, Refosco has appeared as one of the principal musicians in the Broadway show, ''American Utopia'', featuring David Byrne and his music. La Sila, also simply Sila, is the name of the mountainous plateau and historic region located in Calabria, southern Italy. The Sila National Park is known to have the purest air in Europe. The Tiptons Sax Quartet, previously known as The Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet, is a jazz saxophone quartet from Seattle, Washington. Lucio Dalla (; 4 March 1943 – 1 March 2012) was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He also played clarinet and keyboards. Dalla was the composer of "Caruso (song), Caruso" (1986), a song dedicated to Italian opera tenor Enrico Caruso, and "L'anno che verrà" (1979). Beginnings Dalla was born in Bologna, Italy.
