La Secta (wrestling)
La Secta was a religious cult-like stable that has existed in AAA since late 2005 under four different names. La Secta Cibernética The original stable was formed around the promotion's number one ''rudo'' Cibernético and was known as La Secta Cibernética (a play on words, meaning both "The Sect of Cibernético" and "The Cybernetic Sect" in English). The group was formed in late 2005 when Cibernético along with his longtime partners in crime Chessman and Charly Manson recruited The Black Family to join together and form the La Secta super stable. La Secta’s first and primary feud was with La Parka (the AAA version) who led a group of '' técnicos'' in the gang war. This led to a Luchas de Apuestas match between La Parka and Cibernético at Triplemanía XII where La Parka defeated Cibernético and forced him to unmask. After the loss of the mask Cibernético became more and more obsessed with defeating La Parka, he even brought in Muerte Cibernética to target La Parka. ... Face (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy", "good-doer", or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans. They are portrayed as heroes relative to the heel wrestlers, who are analogous to villains. Traditionally, face characters wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience. Such characters are also referred to as blue-eyes in British wrestling and ''técnicos'' in ''lucha libre''. Not everything a face wrestler does must be heroic: faces need only to be clapped or cheered by the audience to be effective characters. When the magazine ''Pro Wrestling Illustrated'' went into circulation in the late 1970s, the magazine referred to face wrestlers as "fan favorites" or "scientific wrestlers", while heels were referred to as simply "rulebreakers". The vast majority of wrestling storylines involve pitting faces against heels, although more elab ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Norse Funeral
Norse funerals, or the burial customs of Viking Age North Germanic Norsemen (early medieval Scandinavians), are known both from archaeology and from historical accounts such as the Icelandic sagas and Old Norse poetry. Throughout Scandinavia, there are many remaining tumuli in honour of Viking kings and chieftains, in addition to runestones and other memorials. Some of the most notable of them are at the Borre mound cemetery, in Norway, at Birka in Sweden, and Lindholm Høje and Jelling in Denmark. A prominent tradition is that of the ship burial, where the deceased was laid in a boat, or a stone ship, and given grave offerings in accordance with his earthly status and profession, sometimes including sacrificed slaves. Afterwards, piles of stone and soil were usually laid on top of the remains in order to create a barrow. Additional practices included sacrifice or cremation, but the most common was to bury the departed with goods that denoted their social status. Grave go ...
