''L'été en pente douce'' (''Summer on a gentle slope'') is a French film, an adaptation of a novel by Pierre Pelot. It was directed by Gérard Krawczyk, and released in 1987. Synopsis Following the death of his mother, Stephane Leheurt, nicknamed Fane (Jean-Pierre Bacri), rejoins his mentally handicapped brother Maurice, nicknamed Mo, (Jacques Villeret) at their mother's house. He wants a quiet life with his brother and his pretty girlfriend Lilas ( Pauline Lafont). But Voke the neighbouring garage owner has eyes on the house, and on Lilas. Pierre Pelot (Pierre Grosdemange, also published as Pierre Suragne or Pierre Carbonari, 1945-), is a French writer of speculative fiction (mostly science fiction). Biography Born on 13 November 1945, in Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle, Vosges, France. Pelot began his writing career by writing westerns. His first novel, ''La piste du Dakota'' he Dakota Trail takes place in the United States after the end of the Civil War. It appeared in the imprint ''Marabout Junior''. In 1967, Pelot created the character of ''Dylan Stark'', who was born in the Confederacy. The first novel in this book series, ''Quatre Hommes pour l'Enfer'' Four Men to Hell, also takes place during the Civil War. In this novel Dylan Stark reluctantly fights on the side of the Confederacy. The ''Dylan Stark'' series was mostly published by ''Pocket Marabout'' starting in 1967. Jean-Pierre Bacri (24 May 1951 – 18 January 2021) was a French actor and screenwriter. He frequently worked in collaboration with Agnès Jaoui. Life and career One of Bacri's earliest film appearances was '' Subway''. He co-wrote with Jaoui '' Smoking/No Smoking'', and co-wrote and starred in '' Un air de famille'', '' On connaît la chanson'', for which he won a César Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1998, '' The Taste of Others'' and '' Look at Me''. Pauline Lafont (6 April 196311 August 1988) was a French actress. She was the daughter of film star Bernadette Lafont and Diourka Medveczky, a Hungarian sculptor. Born Pauline Aïda Simone Medveczky in Nîmes, France, she died in a hiking accident in Barre-des-Cévennes, Lozère, France.
