''L'Officiel'' (; stylised in all caps), full name ''L'Officiel de la couture et de la mode de Paris'' ("The Official ublicationof Paris Couture and Fashion"), is a French bimonthly fashion magazine. It has been published in Paris since 1921 and targets upper-income, educated women aged 25 to 49. A men's edition ''L'Officiel Hommes'' is also published, as are many foreign editions of the magazine. In 2022, it was acquired by AMTD, a Hong Kong–based company. History ''L'Officiel'' was first published in 1921. It was the official publication of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, a trade body representing all Parisian couturiers, and took over the role of ''Les Elégances Parisiennes'', a joint publication of a group of about twenty-five couturiers which became defunct in 1922. Colette
Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (; 28 January 1873 – 3 August 1954), known as Colette or Colette Willy, was a French author and woman of letters. She was also a Mime artist, mime, actress, and journalist. Colette is best known in the English-speaking world for her 1944 novella ''Gigi (novella), Gigi'', which was the basis for the Gigi (1958 film), 1958 film and the Gigi (musical), 1973 stage production of the same name. Her short story collection ''The Tendrils of the Vine'' is also famous in France. Early life Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette was born on 28 January 1873 in the village of Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye in the department of Yonne, Burgundy. Her father, Captain Jules-Joseph Colette (1829–1905) was a war hero. Stefano Tonchi
Stefano Tonchi (born 13 October 1959, Florence, Italy) is an Italian journalist, curator, and consultant. In March 2022, he launched Palmer, a luxury media brand, with Michael J Berman, co-founder of George magazine. He served as consulting chief creative officer of L’Officiel from January 2020 until December 2021. He was the editor in chief of '' W'' magazine from March 2010 until June 2019. He was previously editor of '' T: The New York Times Style Magazine''. He earlier worked at ''Esquire'' and '' L'Uomo Vogue'', Tonchi's editorial roots are in what he calls "niche" publications, he revealed in a 2007 interview in ''032c'' magazine. In the same interview he also told the magazine that "tradition and 'good taste' are ..the enemy of change and evolution."
