Kiss Of Death (Motörhead Album)
''Kiss of Death'' is the eighteenth studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released on 29 August 2006 via Steamhammer, their ninth with the label. Recording ''Kiss of Death'' was the second album Motörhead recorded with producer Cameron Webb and continues the heavy sound on the band's previous album '' Inferno''. As Joel McIver noted in his 2011 Motörhead memoir ''Overkill: The Untold Story of Motörhead'': Mike Inez from Alice in Chains and C.C. Deville from Poison also play on the album. "Kingdom of the Worm" received its world premiere on Friday, 19 May, during Lemmy's appearance on the " Jonesy's Jukebox" radio show on Indie 103.1 FM. Release ''Kiss of Death'' reached No. 4 in Germany, marking Motörhead's highest entry ever in the German charts. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. ''Drowned in Sound'', sometimes abbreviated to ''DiS'', is a UK-based music webzine financed by artist management company Silentway. Founded by editor Sean Adams, the site features reviews, news, interviews, and discussion forums. Lars Ulrich (; ; born 26 December 1963) is a Danish musician best known as the drummer and co-founder of American heavy metal band Metallica. The son and grandson respectively of tennis players Torben and Einer Ulrich, he played tennis in his youth and moved to Los Angeles at age 16 to train professionally. "Whiplash" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the first single from their debut album, '' Kill 'Em All'', and the band's debut single overall, released on January 23, 1984. The song has been covered a number of times, most notably by Motörhead, whose version won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. The single also includes fake live performances of "Seek & Destroy" and "Phantom Lord", which are actually alternate studio recordings with overdubbed crowd noise. Philip John Taylor (21 September 1954 – 12 November 2015), better known as "Philthy Animal", was an English drummer. He was a member of the rock band Motörhead from 1975 to 1984 and 1987 to 1992, recording eleven studio albums and four live albums with the band. The Motörhead line-up consisting of Taylor, Lemmy and "Fast" Eddie Clarke is generally regarded as the 'classic' line-up of the band.
