James I Of Scotland
James I (late July 139421 February 1437) was King of Scots from 1406 until his assassination in 1437. The youngest of three sons, he was born in Dunfermline Abbey to King Robert III and Annabella Drummond. His older brother David, Duke of Rothesay, died under suspicious circumstances during detention by their uncle, Robert, Duke of Albany. James' other brother, Robert, died young. Fears surrounding James's safety grew through the winter of 1405/6 and plans were made to send him to France. In February 1406, James was forced to take refuge in the castle of the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth after his escort was attacked by supporters of Archibald, 4th Earl of Douglas. He remained at the castle until mid-March, when he boarded a vessel bound for France. On 22nd March, English pirates captured the ship and delivered the prince to Henry IV of England. ''Crime Slunk Scene'' is the eighteenth studio album by Buckethead, and his fourth tour-only album. It was originally only sold on his 2006 tour, but was later made available on Travis Dickerson's record label TDRS music, until it eventually went out of print. Background The track "Soothsayer" (dedicated to Buckethead's late aunt) has become one of his more popular songs, and is frequently played live. "Soothsayer" was voted third best guitar solo of the 2000s by the Ultimate Guitar community. Loudwire described it as "smoothest legato shreds of all-time". VH1 included it 8th on the list of "20 Greatest Heavy Metal Instrumentals". The song was later included as DLC on '' Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock''. On April 27, 2017, Buckethead announced a vinyl format of this album through his label "Buckethead Pikes"; marking the first time since its inception that the label has released a non-pike album. King James (horse)
King James (foaled 1905 in Kentucky) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Bred by one of America's most important breeders, John E. Madden, he was the son of 1898 Kentucky Derby winner Plaudit. Although burdened by a bad stride that limited his racing ability, King James raced for five years, won a number of top events, and is acknowledged as the historical American Champion Older Male Horse of 1909. Trained by John Madden, in 1907 King James faced stiff competition from future Hall of Fame inductee Colin. However, King James won the important Tremont Stakes and at age three was a top contender in New York racing. While his only significant win in 1908 came in the Annual Champion Stakes at the Sheepshead Bay Race Track, in other major events he ran second in the Travers Stakes, the Brooklyn Derby, and the Suburban Handicap plus earned thirds in the pre-Triple Crown Belmont Stakes, Withers Stakes, and Brooklyn Handicap. King James (band)
King James is a heavy metal supergroup formed in 1993 with guitarist Rex Carroll ( Whitecross) and frontman Jimi Bennett (Sacred Fire). Some time later, they recruited Tim Gaines and Robert Sweet of Stryper, and released their first album in 1994. The band supported the album with a tour without Gaines, who declined to join after the recording. Sweet toured with the band into 1996, but did not participate in their second release. Carroll and Bennett remained together and released a second album, ''The Fall'', in 1997. At that time there was talk of another King James release, but Whitecross regrouped, and Jimi joined former Petra drummer Louie Weaver to form Viktor. Both groups have released new CDs as of 2006. After fulfilling those obligations, the band regrouped and released ''MaXimus'' in June 2013.
