Kano (British Musician)
Kaine Brett Robinson (born 21 May 1985), better known as Kano, is a British rapper, songwriter and actor from East Ham, London. A significant contributor to grime music, he is widely considered one of the pioneers of grime music and culture, alongside artists such as Wiley and Dizzee Rascal. His fifth album '' Made in the Manor'' was shortlisted for the 2016 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the 2016 MOBO Awards. On screen, he is best known for playing the role of Sully in '' Top Boy''. Music career 1985–2003: Early years Raised by Jamaican parents, Kano attended Langdon Secondary School. East Ham is a district of the London Borough of Newham, England, 8 miles (12.8 km) east of Charing Cross. East Ham is identified in the London Plan as a Major Centre. The population is 76,186. ''Made in the Manor'' is the fifth studio album by British rapper Kano. The album was released on 4 March 2016 by Parlophone Records and Bigger Picture Music. It is Kano's first album release for six years following '' Method to the Maadness'' (2010), featuring guest appearances from Wiley, Giggs, Jme and Damon Albarn. The production was handled by frequent collaborators Mikey J, Fraser T Smith, Blue May and Damon Albarn, alongside Jodi Milliner, Kwes, Mele, Rustie, Sam Beste, Swifta Beater and Zeph Ellis. The album received positive reviews from critics and entered the UK Albums Chart at number 8, becoming Kano's highest-charting album in his career. It was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2016. |

Langdon Academy (formerly Langdon School) is a mixed all-through school with academy status, located on Sussex Road, East Ham in the London Borough of Newham, England. It is situated in East Ham, close to the junction of the A124 (Barking Road) with the North Circular Road (A406): the school playing fields border on to the A406.
