Kanfanar Interchange
The Kanfanar interchange ( hr, Čvor Kanfanar) is a cloverleaf interchange west of Kanfanar, Croatia. The interchange represents the western terminus of the A8 motorway and it connects the A8 route to the A9 motorway representing major a link in the Croatian motorway system. The interchange represents a junction of three arms of the European route E751. Construction of the interchange marked start of construction of the A9 motorway in form of an expressway. Its construction started in 1988 and finished in 1991, making it a part of the first section of the Pula–Umag route which was subsequently expanded to comprise six lanes and dual carriageways, connecting the largest tourist resorts in the western Istria to Slovenia. Kanfanar ( it, Canfanaro) is a municipality in Istria, Croatia. Kanfanar lies at the interchange of the Istrian Y motorway A8 and A9, as well as on the Divača – Pula railway, and was formerly the junction of a branchline to Rovinj. International E-road Network
The international E-road network is a numbering system for roads in Europe developed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The network is numbered from E1 up and its roads cross national borders. It also reaches Central Asian countries like Kyrgyzstan, since they are members of the UNECE. Main international traffic arteries in Europe are defined by ECE/TRANS/SC.1/2016/3/Rev.1 which consider three types of roads: motorways, limited access roads, and ordinary roads. In most countries, the roads carry the European route designation alongside national designations. Umag (; it, Umago) is a coastal town in Istria, Croatia. Geography It is the westernmost town of Croatia, and it includes Bašanija, the westernmost point of Croatia. European Route E751
The European route E751, or E751, as defined by the Declaration on the Construction of Main International Traffic Arteries of 1975, and subsequent documents which amended the treaty, is an east–west Class-B branching European road route.
