is a series of video games published by Nintendo since 1981 and created by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Kong, also known as Kpon, is a town in northern Ivory Coast. It is a sub-prefectures of Ivory Coast, sub-prefecture of and the seat of Kong Department in Tchologo Region, Savanes District. Kong is also a Communes of Ivory Coast, commune. It was the capital of the Kong Empire (1710–1895). Kong (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)
Kong is an inverted roller coaster located at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom amusement park in Vallejo, California. The Suspended Looping Coaster (SLC) model was manufactured by Vekoma and first opened to the public as Hangman at Opryland USA on May 1, 1995. Following Opryland's closure in 1997, the roller coaster was sold to Premier Parks and moved to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, where it reopened as Kong in May 1998. History Opryland USA ''Kong'' was previously located at the now-defunct Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee where it was known as ''The Hangman''. Kong Empire
The Kong Empire (1710–1898), also known as the Wattara Empire or Ouattara Empire for its founder Seku Watara, was a pre-colonial state centered in what is now northeastern Ivory Coast that also encompassed much of present-day Burkina Faso and parts of Mali and Ghana. It established a largely decentralized commercial empire based upon linkages between merchant houses, protecting trade routes throughout the region. Kong rose to prominence in the 1700s as a key commercial center and center of Islamic studies. In 1898, Samori Ture attacked the city and burnt it down. Although the city was rebuilt, the Kong empire did not survive and the French took control over the area. Gary Elkerton
Gary Elkerton (born 21 August 1964), known as Kong is an Australian surfer, three time world masters champion (2000–01, 2003), three time world professional runner-up (1987, 1990, 1993), twice Hawaiian Triple Crown champion (1987, 1989) and Australian amateur champion (1984). He is regarded as an iconic big-wave rider and is highly respected by his peers for his unique, powerful surfing style. In 2009, Gary was inducted into the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame. Early life Elkerton was born in Ballina, northern New South Wales, the first child of Keith and Joan. "POD" (also known as "The Pick of Destiny") is a song by American rock band Tenacious D, featured on their 2006 second album '' The Pick of Destiny''. Written by Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the song was released as the lead single from the album on October 30, 2006.
