''Kontsert'' (; Russian language, Russian: Концерт, ; commonly read as ''Kohuept'' or ''Kohliept'', ) is the second live album by Billy Joel, released in 1987. The album was recorded during the Soviet Union, Soviet leg of Joel's 1987 The Bridge Tour, ''The Bridge'' tour. This album was co-produced by Jim Boyer (audio engineer), Jim Boyer and Brian Ruggles and mixed by Jim Boyer. Background In 1986 Billy Joel was invited to perform in the Soviet Union the following year, 1987. Joel took advantage of this opportunity to be a musical ambassador. He was seen as a "nice, safe, first attempt at bringing in an American 'pop star.'" The concert The tour of the Soviet Union consisted of six shows, three in Moscow and three in Leningrad. DG 307 (band)
DG 307 was a Czech underground rock band founded in 1973 in Prague by Milan Hlavsa and Pavel Zajíček. The group has been inactive since 2016. History Bass guitarist Milan Hlavsa and poet Pavel Zajíček launched DG 307 in 1973, taking the name from a psychiatric diagnosis that allowed young men to obtain a blue booklet and thus avoid compulsory military service. Together with the Plastic People of the Universe, a band Hlavsa had also been a member of, DG 307, among other underground ensembles, was a target of persecution by the communist regime. The repression climaxed in 1976, when Zajíček was arrested and imprisoned for a year, allegedly for disorderly conduct. After his release, only two DG 307 concerts took place, in 1979. In 1980, Zajíček emigrated and the group went on indefinite hiatus. István Szabó
István Szabó (; born 18 February 1938) is a Hungarian film director, screenwriter, and opera director. Szabó is one of the most notable Hungary, Hungarian filmmakers and one who has been best known outside the Hungarian language, Hungarian-speaking world since the late 1960s. Working in the tradition of European Auteur theory, auteurism, he has made films that represent many of the political and psychological conflicts of Central Europe's recent history, as well as of his own personal history. He made his first short film in 1959 as a student at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest, Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, and his first feature film in 1964. He achieved his greatest international success with ''Mephisto (1981 film), Mephisto'' (1981) for which he was awarded an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. A concert, often known informally as a gig or show, is a live performance of music in front of an audience. The performance may be carried by a single musician, in which case it is sometimes called a recital, or by a musical ensemble such as an orchestra, choir, or musical band, band.
