Kino's Storytime
''Kino's Storytime'', also known as ''Storytime'', is an American children's reading television program which aired on PBS from October 12, 1992 until September 1, 1997. It was produced by KCET in Los Angeles, California. It was available on VHS from Strand Home Video and Video Treasures. It was co-hosted by Anne Betancourt as Lucy, Marabina Jaimes as Mara and Kino, voiced and performed by puppeteer Mark Ritts. Mark Ritts
Mark Ritts (June 16, 1946 – December 7, 2009) was an American actor, puppeteer, television producer and director, and author. Ritts also produced and directed many independent videos and television spots as president of Mark Ritts Productions, Inc., for clients around the world. Biography Ritts was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Harvard with a degree in English literature. Being the son of noted puppeteers Paul and Mary Ritts, he pursued a sideline in puppetry, starring in PBS's ''The Real Adventures of Sherlock Jones and Proctor Watson'' and NBC's '' The Pink Panther Show'', among many others. In the 1980s he was the puppeteer for the Philadelphia-area produced '' Starstuff.'' Larry Cansler
Larry Lee Cansler (born 9 May 1940 in Dallas, Texas) is an American composer, arranger, conductor, musical director, and pianist. Over a lengthy career he has collaborated with Kenny Rogers, Lionel Richie, Roger Miller, The Smothers Brothers, Michael Martin Murphey, Mason Williams, The Jackson Five, Pam Tillis, Collin Raye, and many others.
