2019 North Korea–Russia Summit
The 2019 North Korea–Russia summit was a summit meeting between North Korea and Russia where North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 25 April 2019. Meeting The summit was initiated by invitation from Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, in early April. Regarding the summit with DPRK, Russian President Putin believed that DPRK Kim Jong Un needs international security guarantees to give up its nuclear arsenal and program. Russian President Vladimir Putin also said after holding discussion with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on 25 April that he thought U.S. security guarantees would probably not be enough to persuade Pyongyang to shut all of its nuclear program. 2023 North Korea–Russia Summit
The 2023 North Korea–Russia summit was a summit meeting between North Korea and Russia where North Korean General Secretary Kim Jong Un met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 13 September 2023. The meeting was held at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East. It was part of a visit by Kim Jong Un between 12–17 September. It was Kim Jong Un's first foreign visit since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in North Korea in 2020. The 2024 North Korea–Russia summit was a summit meeting between North Korea and Russia where North Korean General Secretary Kim Jong Un met with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. Kim–Xi Meetings
The Kim–Xi meetings were a series of summits between North Korea and China during 2018 and 2019. North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un secretly met with Chinese paramount leader Xi Jinping on March 25–28, 2018. Xi made a classified invitation to Kim to visit China, after which Kim visited Beijing and used his bullet proof train to travel to the three-day meeting.
