Kerala State Film Award
The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a cinema of kerala, motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs (Kerala), Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. For the awards for literature on cinema a separate jury is formed. The academy annually invites films for the award and the jury analyses the films that are submitted before deciding the winners. The awards intends to promote films with artistic values and encourage artists, technicians and producers. Jithin Raj (film Director)
Jithin Raj (born 31 December 1991) is an Indian film director who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. His Debut film Pallotty 90's kids went on to win the award for Kerala State Film Award for Best Children's Film, Best Children's Film at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. Personal life Jithin Raj was born in Paingod Keli village, Thrissur district, Kerala on 31 December 1991 to Ambika Jayaraj and Jayaraj P S. His schooling was at Govt U P School, Konathukunnu, National Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda and Government Model Higher Secondary School Nadavaramba. Then he graduated from Sree Narayana Mangalam Institute of Management and Technology, Maliankara in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Career He started his career making short films of his own. The Malayalam film maker Anjali Menon praised him for his short film ''Pallotty,'' which has won over 20 awards across the state. Children's Film Society India (CFSI) was a nodal organisation of Government of India that produced children's films and various TV programs in various Indian languages. Established in 1955, CFSI functioned under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and was headquartered in Mumbai.
