Kentucky's 14th Senate District
Kentucky's 14th Senatorial district is one of 38 districts in the Kentucky Senate. Located in the central part of the state, it comprises the counties of LaRue County, Kentucky, LaRue, Marion County, Kentucky, Marion, Nelson County, Kentucky, Nelson, Spencer County, Kentucky, Spencer, and Washington County, Kentucky, Washington. It has been represented by Jimmy Higdon (Republican Party (United States), R–Lebanon, Kentucky, Lebanon) since 2009. As of 2023, the district had a population of 113,776. The Reform Party of the United States of America (RPUSA), generally known as the Reform Party USA or the Reform Party, is a centrist political party in the United States. The party was founded in 1995 by Ross Perot. Perot believed Americans were disillusioned with the state of politics as being corrupt and unable to deal with vital issues. Mike Harmon (born October 16, 1966) is an American politician who served as the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts, Kentucky auditor of public accounts from 2016 to 2024. He was previously a Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 54th district. He was a 2011 Kentucky gubernatorial election, 2011 candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky, but lost in the primary. Whitney Henderson Westerfield (born November 29, 1980) is an American attorney, politician and a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate who represented district 3 from 2013 to 2025. Matthew Griswold Bevin (; born January 9, 1967) is an American businessman and politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 62nd governor of Kentucky from 2015 to 2019. He is currently the CEO of Neuronetrix Solutions, LLC. Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Shelburne, New Hampshire, Bevin earned a bachelor's degree at Washington and Lee University in 1989.
