Kene (Naga Wrestling)
''Kene'' ( ) or Naga wrestling is a folk wrestling style and traditional sport of the Nagas. The objective of the sport is to bring any part of the opponent's body above the knee to the ground. ''Kene'' is played by the Tenyi–mi ethnic group of the Nagas— Angami, Chakhesang and Zeliangrong of Nagaland & Mao, Maram and Poumai of Manipur. Each wrestler wears a coloured cloth tied around the waist. Holding the opponent's waist-binder with both hands, the wrestler must attempt to topple the other onto the ground. Alysh
Alysh () is a Turkic term for Central Asian folk wrestling or "belt wrestling" regulated by United World Wrestling. Alysh is an upright wrestling style. Competitors wear trousers, jackets and belts, and must hold on to their opponents' belts at all times. Their objective is to throw their opponents onto the mat. Throws are given scores between 1 and 6, based on what part of the opponent lands on the mat. The first player to win 6 points wins the match. Federal Government Of Nagaland
The Naga National Council (NNC) was a political organization and a tribal government of Naga people in the erstwhile Naga Hills district of Assam (present-day Nagaland) in Northeast India. It was active from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. It evolved out of the Naga Hills District Tribal Council, an organization established in 1945 by the Deputy Commissioner of the Naga Hills district. The group was reorganized to form NNC in 1946 at Sanis (in present-day Wokha district), with T. Aliba Imti Ao as the President, and other democratically elected Naga representatives as its members.
