Kathy's Song
"Kathy's Song" is a song originally by Paul Simon from his 1965 debut album ''The Paul Simon Songbook''. It was re-recorded for Simon & Garfunkel's second album ''Sounds of Silence'', released in 1966. It has been described as one of Simon's most personal songs; it is dedicated to Kathy Chitty, Simon's girlfriend and muse during his mid-1960s sojourn in England. Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 – November 2, 1996) was an American singer and musician known for her interpretations of jazz, Folk music, folk, and blues music, sung with a powerful, emotive soprano voice. In 1992, she released her first album, ''The Other Side (Eva Cassidy album), The Other Side'', a set of duets with go-go musician Chuck Brown, followed by the 1996 live solo album titled ''Live at Blues Alley (Eva Cassidy album), Live at Blues Alley''.
