Kate O'Brien (cyclist)
Kate O'Brien (born 23 July 1988 in Calgary) is a Canadian female track cyclist and former bobsledder. She won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Career After being introduced to bobsleigh in 2010, O’Brien competed at the 2013 FIBT World Championships with pilot Jenny Ciochetti, but a torn hamstring took her out of the first half of the Olympic season and she missed qualifying as a bobsleigh brakeman for the 2014 Winter Olympics. She decided to try piloting a bobsled and attended driving school in Calgary in March 2014. At the same time, there was a testing camp for Cycling Canada at the Canadian Sport Institute. Having scored good test results, she was competing internationally within months. The UCI Track Cycling World Cup (formerly known as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics) is a multi race tournament held over a track cycling season - usually between October and February. Each series is divided into several rounds, each held in a different country. Canada competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 to August 21, 2016. Since the nation's debut in 1900, Canadian athletes had appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the country's support for the United States-led boycott. Trexlertown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Upper Macungie Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,382. Monique Sullivan
Monique Sullivan (born 21 February 1989) is a Canadian cyclist. She was born in Calgary, Alberta. She competed in keirin at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she placed sixth. She also competed in women's sprint and placed 11th. Career She won a bronze medal at the 2007 Track Cycling World Junior Championships in the Keirin event. In 2009, she had top-10 finishes at World Cup event in Beijing (sprint) and Manchester (keirin). She won the National Championship in the sprint event in 2010 and won bronze in the 500m. That year, she'd also capture silver at the Pan American Championships in Mexico City, Mexico and finished in fourth place in the 500m and sprint events. Jenny Ciochetti
Jennifer Ciochetti (born December 2, 1984) is a Canadians, Canadian bobsledder who has competed since 2006. Ciochetti was a world champion in 2012 in the two-woman event and also won a bronze medal in the team event that year as well. Career Despite being a driver for much of the 2011–12 season, Ciochetti finished the last half of the year as the brakeman for Kaillie Humphries. Together, partnering with her, they won the world championship at the FIBT World Championships 2012, 2012 World Championships, leading the entire way.
