The Guttenberg plagiarism scandal refers to the German political scandal that led to the resignation of Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg as Federal Ministry of Defence (Germany), Minister of Defence of Germany over the extensive plagiarism found in his first doctoral dissertation.
