Karary Academy Of Military Technology
The Karary University (Arabic: جامعة كرري) is a university based in the city of Omdurman in the state of Khartoum, Sudan. The university was established in 1996 as a public university funded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Karary Academy of Technology was conceived as tertiary educational institution that would prepare engineering and technological students to meet the needs of the armed forces and military industries, and to guide the relevant scientific research. In 2011, according to ''Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales'', Madrid, the university ranked 10,494 in the world, fourth in Sudan. In Sudan, it ranked behind the University of Khartoum, Sudan University of Science and Technology, National Ribat University and ahead of the International University of Africa. Sudanese Military College
Sudanese Military Academy () is one of the military colleges in Sudan and the first military college established in Africa. The Military College at Wadi Sayyidna, near Omdurman, has been Sudan's primary source of officer training since it opened in 1948. The Military College is also known as "the factory of men and the den of heroes" (). It offers a two-year program with emphasises on the study of political and military science, as well as physical training. Upon completion of the program, graduates are commissioned as second lieutenants in the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The military student graduates from the college after three years with the rank of lieutenant in the Sudanese Armed Forces and a diploma degree in military and administrative sciences. Omdurman () is a major city in Sudan. It is the second most populous city in the country, located in the State of Khartoum. Khartoum (state)
Khartoum State () is one of the eighteen states of Sudan. Sudan University of Science and Technology (abbreviated SUST) is one of the largest public universities in Sudan, with ten campuses in Khartoum state. The main campus is located in the so-called Al Mugran area of Khartoum, the confluence of the White Nile and the Blue Nile. Education In Sudan
Education in Sudan is free and/or compulsory for children aged 6 to 13 years. Primary education up to the 2019/2020 academic year consists of eight years, followed by three years of secondary education. The primary/secondary educational ladder of 6+3+3 years was switched in 1965 and during the Omar al-Bashir presidency to 8+3 and is scheduled, during the 2019 Sudanese transition to democracy, to return to 6+3+3 in the 2020/2021 academic year.
