The current champions are Astronauts (Fuminori Abe and Takuya Nomura). They won the titles by defeating The37Kamiina ( Mao and To-y) at Judgement 2025 on March 20, 2025. Like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won via the result of a scripted match. Although the title was established at a Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) event and was defended in several other promotions, it never changed hands outside of DDT. Professional wrestling in Japan has existed for several decades. The first Japanese person to involve themselves in catch wrestling (the basis of traditional professional wrestling) was former sumo wrestler Sorakichi Matsuda. Kimura was known for his work in promotions like Dramatic Dream Team, W*ING, Fighting World of Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling, among others. Kyohei Mikami
, known by his stage name Mikami (stylized as MIKAMI), is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is best known for his work for Dramatic Dream Team both as a singles wrestler and with Thanomsak Toba in a tag team called Suicide Boyz. Starman (16 November 1974 – 23 September 2022) was a Mexican professional wrestler who was active as a '' tecnico'' in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from 1996.
