Jasmin Christian Blanchette is a computer scientist working as a professor of theoretical computer science at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Education Blanchette earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the Université de Sherbrooke, a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Oslo, and a PhD in computer science from the Technical University of Munich. The Science Citation Index Expanded – previously entitled Science Citation Index – is a citation index originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and created by Eugene Garfield. It was officially launched in 1964 and is now owned by Clarivate (previously the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters). The indexing database covers more than 9,200 notable and significant journals, across 178 disciplines, from 1900 to the present.
