Jonathan Morris (commentator)
Jonathan Morris (born August 22, 1972) is an American author, actor, commentator on religious matters in the media who has been a Fox News contributor and analyst since 2005. He formerly served as a Catholic priest, first in the Legionaries of Christ and later as a secular priest in the Archdiocese of New York. In 2019, he requested dispensation from the clerical state. Biography Born in Cleveland, Ohio, the third of seven children, Morris studied business administration at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, where he served as vice president of the University Student Government. At the age of 21, he entered the seminary and studied in Rome, Italy, gaining degrees in the classical humanities, philosophy, and theology. Jonathon Morris (born 20 July 1960) is an English actor and former television presenter. Career Morris is best known for his role as Adrian Boswell in Carla Lane's comedy ''Bread'', in which he starred for the series' entire five-year run between 1986 and 1991, and which made him a well-known face on British television. Prior to ''Bread'', he had appeared as a regular in the early 1980s ITV comedy ''That Beryl Marston!'', and in leading roles in two of the BBC's Sunday Classic Serial adaptations, ''Beau Geste'' in 1982 and ''The Prisoner of Zenda'' in 1984. Jon Morris (born April 5, 1942) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive lineman for fifteen seasons in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played for the Boston/New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, and Chicago Bears. His father was John D. Morris, a longtime reporter and editor in the Washington bureau of the New York Times. At Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. After Gonzaga, he played center and linebacker for three seasons of college football at the College of the Holy Cross. He was the ''Washington Daily News's'' Athlete of the Year in 1960 and Holy Cross Varsity Club Athlete of the Year and Lineman of the Year in 1963. Jon Morris (born May 6, 1966) is an American retired ice hockey center who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks, and Boston Bruins between 1988 and 1994. Internationally Morris played for the United States at the 1995 World Championships. Career Morris was chosen 86th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1984 NHL Draft after posting 81 points in 24 games for Chelmsford High School. He then spent four years at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he played for the UMass Lowell River Hawks men's ice hockey team. He was placed on the Hockey East first all-star team in 1987.
