John McGuire (Virginia Politician)
John Joseph McGuire III (born August 24, 1968) is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He was first elected in 2017, and represents the 56th district comprising areas to the North and West of Richmond, Virginia. McGuire is a former United States Navy SEAL. Overcoming severe injuries, McGuire founded a physical training business, SEAL Team Physical Training, that has been employed by Virginia Commonwealth University sports teams. Political career In 2017, McGuire ran for the Virginia House of Delegates for the 56th district, then held by retiring Republican incumbent Peter Farrell. Abigail Anne Spanberger (née Davis, August 7, 1979) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative from since 2019. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Her district includes most of the northern suburbs of Richmond, as well as some exurban territory around Fredericksburg. Spanberger is a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer. The Lobby Day 2020 was a gun rights rally that took place on January 20, 2020 at the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond, Virginia. The rally was an extension of the Second Amendment sanctuary movement and was organized by the Virginia Citizens Defense League.
