Jean-Michel Arnold, (1938 - September 4, 2019) is General Secretary of the Cinémathèque Française, vice President of UNESCO's IFTC (International Council for Film Television and Audiovisual Communication), founder of the Cinéma du Réel, Director of CNRS Image/Media, General Secretary of RIAVS, and President of CAMERA. Without being a filmmaker, Mr. Arnold has been the instigator of some very important events in the world of cinema. Early life He was the only child of Christine Brisset, an activist known as the “Pasionaria of the Poor”, with a street named in her honour and her life documented on film. Jean-Michel Daoust (born November 24, 1983) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Kassel Huskies of the German DEL2. Playing career Undrafted from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Daoust first played professionally for the Cincinnati Cyclones in 2006. On January 18, 2008, Daoust signed a professional tryout contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. At the time, he ranked 1st in the ECHL in points (51) before signing with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He would finish the season with 18 points in 37 games. Since 1992, he has studied the control theory of partial differential equations, and which includes both control and stabilization. His results concern partial differential equations related to fluid dynamics, with emphasis on nonlinear phenomena, and part of them found applications to control channels. Jean Michel Claude Richard (16 August 1787 – 1868) was a noted French botanist and plant collector active in Senegal, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Réunion, and a Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur. Richard was born in Volon, Haute-Saône. He was sent to Senegal in 1816 as the colony's gardener-in-chief, but served without obvious distinction until the arrival in 1822 of Baron Jacques-François Roger (1787–1849) who entrusted to Richard the creation of an experimental garden on the left bank of the Sénégal River, near the village of Nghiao, and named it ''Richard Toll'' (toll means "garden" in the Wolof language). He and Pierre Contant d'Ivry were among the most eminent Parisian architects of the day and designed in both the restrained French Rococo manner, known as the "Louis XV style" and in the ''"Goût grec"'' (literally "Greek taste") phase of early Neoclassicism.
