Ja'afar Mahmud Adam
Ja'afar Mahmud Adam (February 12, 1960 – April 13, 2007) was a Nigerianbr>Salafist Islamic scholarand member of Nigeria's Jama’at Izalat al Bid’a Wa Iqamat as Sunna, a religio-political organisation with headquarters in Abuja. He lived primarily in Kano while he went to Maiduguri for his Annual Ramadan Tafsir. Teaching Adam preached in Maiduguri's Indimi Mosque, which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Borno. Death Sheikh Ja'afar was shot dead at his mosque during Subh prayer in the northern city of Kano in April 2007. Maiduguri
Maiduguri is the capital and the largest city of Borno State in north-eastern Nigeria. The city sits along the seasonal Ngadda River which disappears into the ''Firki'' swamps in the areas around Lake Chad. Maiduguri was founded in 1907 as a military outpost by the British and has since grown rapidly with a population exceeding a million by 2007.
