J Awards Of 2017
The J Award of 2017 is the thirteenth annual J Awards, established by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's youth-focused radio station Triple J. The announcement comes at the culmination of Ausmusic Month (November). For the fourth year, four awards were presented; ''Australian Album of the Year'', ''Double J Artist of the Year'', ''Australian Music Video of the Year'' and ''Unearthed Artist of the Year''. The eligible period took place between November 2016 and October 2017. The winners were announced live on air on Triple J on Thursday 23 November 2017. ''Everything Is Forgotten'' is the second studio album by Australian art rock band Methyl Ethel, released in March 2017. The album peaked at number 16 on the ARIA Charts. At the J Awards of 2017, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. At the 2017 West Australian Music Industry Awards, the album won Best Album. It included the track "Ubu" which was voted into fourth place in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2017. Jack River (musician)
Holly Isabella Rankin (born 19 December 1991), who performs as Jack River, is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Her debut album, '' Sugar Mountain'' (22 June 2018), peaked at No. 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart. "A Foreign Affair" is a song written and produced by Australian group Client Liaison, featuring Tina Arena. The song was released on 30 August 2017 as the fourth and final single from Client Liaison's debut studio album ''Diplomatic Immunity'' (2016). The video was released on 29 August 2017 with Arena saying "It's been a lot of fun working with Client Liaison, from recording the song last summer and to crashing their set at Splendour, this clip ties it all together nicely! Client Liaison are an Australian indie pop duo made up of vocalist Monte Morgan, and keyboardist and producer Harvey Miller. Paul Maurice Kelly (born 13 January 1955) is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers. Jen Cloher (born 9 October 1973) is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer, currently based in Melbourne, Victoria. Cloher's 2017 Jen Cloher (album), self-titled fourth studio album peaked at number 5 on the ARIA Charts. ''Perennial'' is the second studio album by Australian folk musician Vera Blue (the first under the name Vera Blue). The album was announced on 15 June 2017, and released on 21 July 2017. Upon announcement, Vera Blue said: "''Perennial'' is a term for plants that come back year after year, and I like to relate that to memory, feelings and emotions.
