Justin Jackson (basketball, Born 1995)
Justin Aaron Jackson (born March 28, 1995) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. Jackson took part in the 2014 McDonald's All-American Boys Game and was named its co-MVP, along with Jahlil Okafor. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, Jackson was named a consensus first-team All-American and won an NCAA championship as a member of the Tar Heels. A small forward, Jackson was chosen by the Portland Trail Blazers as the fifteenth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft before being traded to the Sacramento Kings on draft night. As of August 2023, Jackson had played for the Kings, the Dallas Mavericks, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Boston Celtics, and the Phoenix Suns over the course of his six-year NBA career. 2023–24 NBA G League Season
The 2023–24 NBA G League season was the 23rd season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Structure The Showcase Cup started in November 2023 and concluded with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League Winter Showcase in December. During the Showcase Cup, teams were separated into four regional pods and played 16 games against one another in each of the respective NBA G League markets. The teams with the best winning percentage in each regional pod, along with the next four teams across the league with the best win percentages, advanced to play for the Showcase Cup during the Winter Showcase, which was held from December 19 to December 22. 2014 McDonald's All-American Boys Game
The 2014 McDonald's All-American Boys Game was an All-star basketball game that was played on April 2, 2014 at the United Center in Chicago, home of the Chicago Bulls. It was the 37th annual McDonald's All-American Game for high school boys. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited blue chip boys high school basketball players graduating in 2014. Chicago, which became the first city to host the game in back-to-back years in 2012, will continue to host the game annually at least until 2015. McDonald's All-American Game
The McDonald's All-American Game is an American all-star basketball game played each year for boys' and girls' high school basketball graduates. Consisting of the top players, each team plays a single exhibition game after the conclusion of the high-school basketball season, in an East vs. West format. As part of the annual event, boys and girls compete in a slam dunk contest and a three-point shooting competition, and compete alongside All-American Game alumni in a timed team shootout. The last of these competitions replaced separate overall timed skills competitions for boys and girls. While it is rare for girls to compete in the slam dunk contest, occasionally a girl will elect to participate. The Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an award given to the men's basketball player in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) voted as the most outstanding player. The 2017 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 68 teams playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the men's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball national champion for the 2016–17 season.
