Joshua Lloyd Thomas (born June 26, 1981) is an American former professional American football, football player who was a defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Syracuse Orange football, Syracuse Orange and was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He later won Super Bowl XLI with them, defeating the Chicago Bears. Early life Thomas attended Orchard Park High School in Orchard Park (town), New York, Orchard Park, New York, and played tight end and defensive end. As a senior in 1999, he set a New York State sack record with 23.5 sacks in an 11-game season. Josh Thomas (born May 3, 1989) is an American former professional football cornerback. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL draft. He played college football at the University at Buffalo. Early life Born in Cedar Hill, Texas, Thomas attended Cedar Hill High School before accepting a scholarship from the University at Buffalo. Thomas volunteered to play free safety because the team had a surplus of cornerbacks. He played well, recording 109 tackles and 3 interceptions, but did not attract the high-level recruiting attention that coach Joey McGuire thought he deserved. Then, Buffalo coach Turner Gill, of Fort Worth, Texas, convinced him to head north. Thomas also starred in track & field at Cedar, where he competed in hurdles and relays. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2020 following his college football career at Appalachian State. Early life Thomas was born in Montgomery, Alabama and attended The Montgomery Academy where he was a two-time All-State player in football, a four-timer in basketball and became the city's all-time leading boys basketball scorer. Josh Thomas (born 1 October 1991) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Thomas, a Queensland Under 18 representative in the 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships, was drafted by Collingwood with the 75th selection in the 2009 AFL Draft. In 2009, Thomas played 11 games for Gold Coast in the TAC Cup. Thomas was offered a contract by Gold Coast, but chose to enter the 2009 AFL draft, stating that he wanted to join an AFL environment as soon as possible, rather than wait for Gold Coast to join the AFL in 2011.
