Jorge Vázquez (baseball)
Jorge Alberto Vázquez (born March 15, 1982), nicknamed El Chato, is a Mexican former professional baseball first baseman. Vázquez played in the Mexican League (baseball), Mexican League from 1999 through 2008, and played in the minor league system of the New York Yankees from 2009 through 2011. He returned to the Mexican League in 2012. He also played for the Mexico national baseball team at the 2009 World Baseball Classic. Playing career Tigres de Quintana Roo Vázquez debuted in the Mexican League in 1999 at age 17, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts for the Tigres de Quintana Roo. In 2000, he hit .244/.396/.319 in 62 games for two Mexican League clubs. He spent 2001 back with the Tigres, hitting .284 with 5 HR and 24 RBI. Bishop Jorge Vázquez (born 13 March 1950) is an Argentine Roman Catholic prelate, who was Bishop of Morón from 30 June 2017 to 28 May 2025. Previously he served as the Titular Bishop of Castra Nova and an Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora (from 3 December 2013 until 3 February 2017) and as a Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Morón (from 3 February 2017 until 30 June 2017). Early life and education Bishop Vázquez was born into a Roman Catholic family in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province, in 1950. He completed his secondary studies at the Minor Seminery of Nuestra Señora de Luján in La Plata. Jorge Alberto Vázquez Agodino (San Francisco, — Buenos Aires, ) was an Argentine diplomat and politician. Early life He was born in San Francisco in the province of Córdoba. He studied a degree in Political and Social Sciences and Diplomacy at the Catholic University of Córdoba, graduating in 1965. There he was the president of the student federation. Early life and beginnings Vázquez was born in the Sant Roc district of Badalona, Catalonia, Spain. Jorge Vázquez Viaña (born 2 January 1939 in La Paz; Bolivia, presumed dead, May 1967; Nickname: ''El Loro'' or ''Bigotes'') was a Bolivian revolutionary. His father, Dr. Humberto Vázquez Machicado, was a noted historian and his mother, Elvira Viana Canedo, was a pianist.
