Jorge Noceda Sánchez (6 September 1925 – 11 March 1987) was a Dominican-born American diplomat, and Painting, painter. His surrealist artwork has been collected by international museums. He also worked as a gastroeonerologist, and a dog breeder. Early life and education Jorge Noceda Sánchez was born on 6 September 1925 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Sánchez received a medical degree from the University of Santo Domingo in 1952. After graduation, he moved to New York City to specialize in gastroenterology at New York University while working as a resident in the Bronx. However, he quickly became absorbed with painting, his new-found hobby. Initially self-taught, his talent developed rapidly. Jorge Luis Sánchez (21 January 1960 – 9 January 2025) was a Cuban film director. He was a founder of the ''Federación Nacional de Cine Clubes de Cuba'' (National Federation of Cine Clubs of Cuba). Life and career Sánchez was born on 21 January 1960. He started to work in ICAIC in 1981 as camera assistant, and later as assistant director. His first feature '' El Benny'' was presented at the Locarno International Film Festival in August 2006, where its star Renny Arozarena won the Boccalino prize for best performance for protagonist in all sections of festival. The film was Cuba's candidate for the Academy Awards. Sánchez is distantly related to Cuban musician and the subject of this film Benny Moré.
