Jorge González (Paraguayan Football Manager)
Jorge Osmar González Frutos (born 6 May 1975) is a Paraguayan football manager, currently in charge of Deportivo Recoleta. Career Born in Asunción, González was a futsal player before becoming a manager in the category. In 2022, he joined Deportivo Recoleta's football side, as an assistant. On 9 July 2024, González was named manager of Recoleta in the place of Víctor González. He led the club to a promotion to the Primera División as champions of the 2024 División Intermedia, remaining unbeaten in the process. In November 2024, González was confirmed as manager of Recoleta for the upcoming season. Asunción

Deportivo Recoleta, or simply known as Recoleta, is a Paraguayan association football club from the neighbourhood of the same name, in Asunción; founded in 1931. It will play the Paraguayan Primera División after winning the 2024 Paraguayan División Intermedia championship. History Deportivo Recoleta was founded on 12 February 1931 following the merger of the clubs ''2 de Julio'' and ''Unión Pacífico''. It took its name from the neighborhood where the Recoleta church was located, with Juan Gardel as its first chairman. The 2024 División Intermedia season, named ''"Homenaje a Daniel Giménez, Félix Quiñonez e Isidoro Benítez"'', was the 106th season of the second-tier league of Paraguayan football and the 27th under the División Intermedia name. The season began on 5 April and ended on 14 October 2024, and the fixtures for the season were drawn on 28 November 2023. Deportivo Recoleta and Tembetary earned promotion to the Paraguayan Primera División at the end of the season, with the former clinching a top two finish with three matchdays to go by defeating Pastoreo on 22 September, and the latter doing so on the following matchday, beating Fernando de la Mora on 29 September. The División Intermedia (), also known as the Segunda División (), is the third highest professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it.
