Jorella Marie De Jesus
Jorella Marie de Jesus (born August 17, 1993) is a Filipino volleyball player. She was a member of the Ateneo de Manila University's collegiate varsity team from 2011 to 2015, and also of the 2015 Philippines U23 national team. She played for PLDT Home Ultera Fast Hitters as a Libero for the 2015 season. Personal life De Jesus was born on August 17, 1993, in Manila, Philippines. She studied at the Ateneo de Manila University in college and finished with an AB Psychology degree. She is currently in a relationship with former Adamson Lady Falcons and fellow Creamline Cool Smashers player Jema Galanza. Career Ella was a former Best Spiker and Best Blocker in her high school years. After graduating high school, she studied at Ateneo de Manila University and was a varsity player of the Women's volleyball team alongside the "Fab five". The Ateneo Blue Eagles program has a women's collegiate varsity volleyball team which represents the Ateneo de Manila University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). History The Ateneo Blue Eagles women's volleyball team was formed in 1975. They first played competitive varsity volleyball when they participated in the women's volleyball tournament of the NCAA (Philippines) in Season 51 (1975–76). The following year, Season 52 (1976–77), the Lady Blue Eagles won their first and only NCAA women's volleyball championship. They were unable to defend their title in the NCAA because Ateneo de Manila transferred to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) in 1978. 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the tenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its first conference as a professional league. The conference started on July 17, 2021 and ended on August 13, 2021, at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte in a bubble. The PVL has been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to begin team practices to be followed by the official start of the 2021 season. In January 2021, it was reported that Motolite filed a leave of absence from the league and released all of its players. The Philippine Army Lady Troopers will participate as a guest team. The 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the eighth conference of the Premier Volleyball League. The conference started on August 11, 2019 and ended on November 9, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference
The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference was the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the first conference for its 13th season. The conference commenced on May 22, 2016 with an opening ceremony at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan. The first games were on May 28, 2016, also at the same venue. The previous season's conference champion, PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters, and runner-up Philippine Army Lady Troopers, decided to forgo their participation in this year's Open Conference. The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Collegiate Conference was the 24th conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on July 11, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. UAAP Season 77 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 77 seniors' division volleyball tournament started on November 22, 2014, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila. Opening-day games were the women's teams of UE vs UST at 2 PM and Ateneo vs NU at 4 PM. The tournament main venue was the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City while selected games will be played at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. The UAAP Season 77 high school volleyball tournament started on July 26, 2014. The tournament venue was the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams this season. 2014 ASEAN University Games
The 2014 ASEAN University Games, officially known as the 17th ASEAN University Games, was a Southeast Asian university multi-sport event held in Palembang, Indonesia from 11 to 21 December 2014. It was the fourth time Indonesia hosted the games and its first time since 2004. Previously, Indonesia also hosted the 1982 games and the 1990 games. Around 1000 athletes from 11 participating nations participated at the games which featured 226 events in 18 sports. Palembang is the fourth Indonesian city to host the ASEAN University Games after Jakarta in 1982, Bandung in 1990 and Surabaya in 2004.
