Jordan Hunter (basketball, Born 1997)
Jordan Miles Hunter (born 30 January 1997) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Saint Mary's Gaels. Early life Hunter attended Saint Ignatius' College in Sydney, New South Wales. In 2015, Hunter attended the BA Centre of Excellence in Canberra and played for the program's SEABL team. College career Between 2015 and 2019, Hunter played college basketball in the United States for the Saint Mary's Gaels. He was used sparingly over his first three seasons before seeing his minutes more than triple from his junior season to his senior season. As a senior in 2018–19, he averaged 7.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.4 blocks, as he started all 34 games and averaged 23.3 minutes per game. The Sydney Kings are an Australian men's professional basketball team competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). The team is based in Sydney, New South Wales. The Kings were formed from a merger between the West Sydney Westars and the Sydney Supersonics in October 1987. They were the first team to win three consecutive championships in the NBL and currently sit third alongside the Adelaide 36ers and New Zealand Breakers (four each) for championships won, behind Melbourne United (six) and the Perth Wildcats (ten). NBL1 North, formerly the Queensland Basketball League (QBL), is a semi-professional basketball league in Queensland and Northern Territory, Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2020, Basketball Queensland partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL) to bring NBL1 to Queensland. NBL1 replaced the former QBL to create more professional pathways and opportunities for males and females playing basketball in Queensland. As a result, the QBL became the north conference of NBL1. 2020–21 NBL Season
The 2020–21 NBL season was the 43rd season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of nine teams contested in the 2020–21 season. The regular season was played between January and June 2021, followed by a post-season in June 2021. Australian broadcast rights to the season were held by SBS Viceland in the second year of a two-year deal. All games were available live and free on streaming platforms such as SBS On Demand. ESPN also broadcast select games, including all games after 7.30pm AEDT. In New Zealand, Sky Sport were the official league broadcaster.
