John Williams (offensive Lineman, Born 2002)
John Williams (born January 17, 2002) is an American professional football guard for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats and was selected by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft. Early life and high school Williams attended Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook, Illinois. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats. College career As a freshman in 2020, Williams appeared in just four games for the Bearcats. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he played primarily as a right tackle, appearing in 24 games with three starts. Heading into the 2023 season, Williams took over as the Bearcats starting left tackle. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. Like other offensive line positions, guards are used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. East–West Shrine Bowl
The East–West Shrine Bowl is a postseason college football all-star game that has been played annually since 1925; through January 2019, it was known as the East–West Shrine Game. The game is sponsored by the fraternal group Shriners International, and the net proceeds are earmarked to some of the Shrine's charitable works, most notably the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Bolingbrook is a village in Will County, Illinois, Will and DuPage County, Illinois, DuPage counties in the U.S. state of Illinois.
