Joaquín Fernández Pertusso (born 22 January 1999) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga MX club Tijuana. Club career A youth academy product of Defensor Sporting, Fernández joined River Plate Montevideo prior to the 2018 Uruguayan Primera División season. He made his professional debut on 12 May 2018 in a 1–0 league win against his former club Defensor. On 6 August 2020, Eredivisie club Heerenveen announced the signing of Fernández on a three-year deal. On 4 March 2021, he returned to Uruguay by signing for Montevideo City Torque on a loan deal until the end of the year. On 15 January 2023, he joined Boston River. On 1 February 2024, Fernández signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with Bulgarian First League club Levski Sofia, becoming the first ever Uruguayan to join the club. Rocha, Uruguay
Rocha () is the capital city of the Rocha Department in Uruguay. History It was founded in 1793 and had acquired the status of "Villa" (town) before the independence of Uruguay. On 7 July 1880 it was made capital of the Department of Rocha by the Act of Ley Nº 1.474, while its status was elevated to "Ciudad" (city) on 10 January 1894 by the Act of Ley Nº 2.252. The 2020–21 Eredivisie was the 65th season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. The season began on 12 September 2020 and concluded on 16 May 2021. On 2 February 2021, the KNVB announced that effective immediately clubs would be allowed to make an extra substitution for suspected concussions as part of an IFAB sanctioned trial. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, also known as Copa Sudamericana (; ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America, since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The 2020 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo de Primera División 2020, was the 117th season of the Uruguayan Primera División, Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 90th in which it is professional.
