Jikki
Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Sinhalese, and Hindi languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on November 3rd, 1935. Her parents, Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Her uncle, Devaraju Naidu, worked as a music composer with the celebrated Kannada theatre legend and movie pioneer Gubbi Veeranna and this introduced the young Jikki to the music and film world. Susarla Dakshinamurthi
Susarla Dakshinamurthi Jr. ( Telugu: సుసర్ల దక్షిణామూర్తి; 11 November 1921 – 9 February 2012) was an Indian music composer, playback singer, record producer, Carnatic musician, multi-instrumentalist,Ilavelpu in Naati 101 Chitralu, S. V. Rama Rao, Kinnera Publications, Hyderabad, 2006, pp: 129-31. and an eminent violinist known for his works in the South Indian film industry, Hindi cinema, Sri Lankan cinema, and Hollywood. Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy
Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy were an Indian music composing duo composed of M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy. They worked together on over 100 films, from 1952's '' Panam'' to 1965's '' Aayirathil Oruvan''. After their split, Ramamoorthy worked on 16 films between 1966 and 1986. He and Viswanathan reunited in 1995 for '' Engirundho Vandhan''. Early lives Ramamoorthy Ramamoorthy, born into a well-known musical family in Trichy, was a capable violinist at an early age. ''Samsaram'' () is a 1950 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by L. V. Prasad. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Lakshmirajyam, with music composed by Susarla Dakshinamurthi. It was produced by K. V. Krishna and C. V. Ranganatha Rao under the Sadhana Productions banner. The film was recorded as a ''Blockbuster'' at the box office. Rajan–Nagendra
Rajan–Nagendra was an Indian musical duo who were prominent composers of film music in Kannada and Telugu cinema from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Rajan, along with his brother Nagendra, created a niche for themselves for nearly four decades. The duo scored music for about 375 films, over 200 of them in Kannada and the remainder in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi and Sinhala. Chandragiri is a suburb and outgrowth of Tirupati and located in Tirupati district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrabose (composer)
Chandrabose (11 July 1950 – 30 September 2010) was an Indian composer and singer. He composed music for more than 300 films between 1977 and 1995. In 2007 he made his debut on the silver screen as an actor. Personal life Chandrabose's son, Bose Santhosh, has also worked in films as a composer, working in the Malayalam film ''Sandwich'' (2011) and the Tamil films, ''Meenkothi'' and ''Deva Kumaran''. He is married twice, since 2007 he started acting in Kalaignar TV serials. Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu movies for around 50 years. They also directed one movie '' Jagathalaprathapan'' in 1990 Personal life Shankar was the younger brother of music director C. R. Subbaraman while Ganesh was the son-in-law of G. N. Vijaya Bhaskar (; 1924 – 3 March 2002) was an Indian music director and composer who composed music for several mainstream and experimental feature films in the Kannada film industry. Scoring music for over 720 films, Bhaskar worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Tulu and Konkani language films as well. He had a noted association with directors including KSL Swamy (Ravi), Puttanna Kanagal, Adoor Gopalakrishnan and a long association with singers including P. Susheela and Vani Jairam. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films. He is considered one of the greatest singers of Telugu and Indian cinema. In 1970, he received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award for his contribution to Indian cinema.
