Jezebel (2019 Film)
''Jezebel'' is a 2019 semi-autobiographical drama film written and directed by Numa Perrier and starring actress Tiffany Tenille. The plot follows a 19-year-old girl, also named Tiffany, who begins to do sex work as a cam girl to financially support herself. ''Jezebel'' premiered at SXSW on March 9, 2019, and was selected as a "Best of SXSW" film by ''The Hollywood Reporter''. Numa Perrier
Numa Perrier is a Haitian-American actress, artist, director, writer, and producer. She is a co-founder of Black&Sexy TV and started her production company titled, "House of Numa". Her debut feature film, ''Jezebel'', premiered at SXSW in 2019. Her sophomore film, the Netflix romantic comedy '' The Perfect Find'' premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival where it received the Audience Award for Narrative Film. BlackStar Film Festival
The BlackStar Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by BlackStar Projects. The festival focuses on films about and by Black, brown and indigenous people from around the world. It takes place each August in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It has been described as the "Black Sundance." The festival is named after Marcus Garvey's shipping line, the Black Star Line.
