Džesika Šyvokaitė (born 6 May 1996), better known by the stage name Jessica Shy, is a Lithuanian singer and songwriter. Early life Shy was born in Birštonas, Lithuania. She began singing at the age of four and a half, and attended , where she studied pop singing. She graduated from the University of Westminster in London with a degree in Commercial Music Performance. Career Shy competed on reality competition shows 2 minutės šlovės and X Faktorius. She was a competitor on for two seasons. In 2019, she signed with music label OpenPlay. She rose to prominence after releasing several singles, namely "Rožė", which marked her first solo entry on the Lithuanian singles chart. She was nominated for "Breakthrough of the Year" at the 2020 MAMA Awards. In 2021, she collaborated with on the track "Rugpjūtis". Birštonas () is a balneological resort and a spa town in Lithuania situated south of Kaunas on the right bank of the Nemunas River. Birštonas received its city rights 1529, and was appointed a city in 1966. The city is the administrative centre of the Birštonas municipality. Name Birštonas is the Lithuanian name of the city. Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with "" performed by Silvester Belt. The Lithuanian broadcaster, (LRT), organised the national final in order to select the country's representative at the contest. Lithuania was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 7 May 2024 and was later selected to perform in position 3. At the end of the show, "" was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and hence qualified to compete in the final. It was later revealed that Lithuania placed fourth out of the fifteen participating countries in the semi-final with 119 points.
