Jerkcurb
Jacob Read (born 1992) known professionally as Jerkcurb is an English musician and artist. He has worked as a solo artist and as a member of the English band Horsey. Biography Jacob Read was born in 1992 in Denmark Hill, South East London, to artist parents, an American mother and English father. He is Ashkenazi Jewish through his mother but not practicing. As well as being a musician, Read is an illustrator and animator, having studied at Kingston School of Art from 2011 to 2013. He has worked with the Tate Britain art gallery on two occasions, including being commissioned to create an animation for an exhibition on art in World War 1. His drawings have often been linked to his music as well as serving as the artwork for each of his musical releases. Horsey (band)
Horsey are an English rock band from London, formed in 2016. Their sound has been described as art rock, jazz and post punk. They are associated with fellow artist King Krule Archy Ivan Marshall (born 24 August 1994), also known by his stage name King Krule, among other names, is an English singer, songwriter, musician, rapper and record producer. Denmark Hill
Denmark Hill is an area and road in Camberwell, in the London Borough of Southwark, London, England. It is a sub-section of the western flank of the Norwood Ridge, centred on the long, curved Ruskin Park slope of the ridge. The road is part of the A215 road, A215 which north of its main foot, Camberwell Green, becomes Camberwell Road and south of Red Post Hill becomes named Herne Hill, another district. Toponymy The area and road is said to have acquired its name from Anne, Queen of Great Britain, Queen Anne's husband, Prince George of Denmark, who hunted there. High Street, Camberwell was renamed Denmark Hill as part of metropolitan street renaming. History In John Cary's map of 1786 the area is shown as ''Dulwich Hill''. Steve Mackey
Stephen Patrick Mackey (10 November 1966 – 2 March 2023) was an English musician and record producer best known as the bass guitarist for the Britpop band Pulp, which he joined in 1989. As a record producer, he produced songs and albums by M.I.A., Florence + the Machine, The Long Blondes and Arcade Fire. Early life Mackey was born in Manchester on 10 November 1966, and moved to Sheffield. In his early years he attended Hucklow First and Middle Schools with friend Richard Hawley, who would later play with Pulp as a touring musician. He attended Hinde House Comprehensive in Sheffield before undertaking further studies at Richmond College of Further Education. Before joining Pulp, he played bass for another Sheffield band called Trolley Dog Shag, who were featured alongside Pulp on a Dolebusters compilation album in 1987. Delia Ann Derbyshire (5 May 1937 – 3 July 2001) was an English musician and composer of electronic music. She carried out notable work with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop during the 1960s, including her electronic arrangement of the theme music to the British science-fiction television series ''Doctor Who''.
