Jeepers Creepers (song)
"Jeepers Creepers" is a popular song and jazz standard. The music was written by Harry Warren and the lyrics by Johnny Mercer for the 1938 movie '' Going Places''. It was premiered by Louis Armstrong and has been covered by many other musicians. The song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1938 but lost to "Thanks for the Memory". The song was included in the 1984 Smithsonian collection ''American Popular Song: Six Decades of Songwriters and Singers'' and in the 1998 album ''The Songs of Harry Warren''. Background In the film '' Going Places'', Louis Armstrong sang the song to a racehorse named Jeepers Creepers. The phrase "jeepers creepers", a minced oath for "Jesus Christ", predates both the song and film. Mercer said that the title came from a Henry Fonda line in an earlier movie. The lyrics include: Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those peepers? Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those eyes? 1939 recordings *There were three popular versions of the so ...

Jeepers Creepers (2001 Film)
''Jeepers Creepers'' is a 2001 horror film written and directed by Victor Salva. It stars Gina Philips and Justin Long as siblings returning home for spring break who encounter a violent truck driver portrayed by Jonathan Breck. The film takes its name from the 1938 song, featured in the film under a version by Paul Whiteman. Patricia Belcher and Eileen Brennan also appear in supporting roles, with Salva making a cameo appearance. The film was a co-production between the United States and Germany, with United Artists co-financing the American Zoetrope title. It filmed in various towns in Florida starting in August 2000 after Salva convinced the studios to cast Phillips and Long with the help of executive producer Francis Ford Coppola, who had previously financed his 1989 directorial debut. Jeepers Creepers (video Game)
''Jeepers Creepers'' is a grid capture video game written by James Albanese for Atari 8-bit computers. It was published by Quality Software in 1982. Similar in concept to Konami's '' Amidar'', the player controls a "bug" which moves around a grid, changing the color of the lines, while avoiding wasps. When all of the lines surrounding a rectangle have been colored, the rectangle is filled in. Some rectangles give special rewards when filled. The goal is to fill all the rectangles. Gameplay The player steers what the manual calls a ''bug'' around an irregular grid of different sized rectangles, coloring the orange lines yellow as it moves, and capturing a rectangle by coloring all the lines around it. When all of the lines have been colored (and thus all of the rectangles filled), the level ends. There are four different mazes. Some rectangles contain a ''jump'' or a beetle which are acquired by capturing the rectangle. Once a jump has been collected, pressing the joystick butto ...
