Jason O'Halloran
Jason David O'Halloran (born 28 February 1972 in Lower Hutt, New Zealand) is an All Blacks, All Black cap and rugby union coach. He is currently an Assistant Coach to Vern Cotter at the Blues (Super Rugby), Blues. He was previously an assistant coach at Suntory Sungoliath and was the assistant coach at Glasgow Warriors. Before that he was an assistant coach to the Scotland national rugby union team, Scotland national team. He was the head coach of Manawatu Rugby Union, Manawatu's provincial rugby union side in New Zealand. He has previously been the head coach of rugby union Top League side, the Kubota Spears. O'Halloran had played 95 games and scored 35 tries for Wellington Lions, Wellington between 1993 and 2001 and 54 games with 17 tries for the Wellington Hurricanes, Hurricanes at Super Rugby, Super 12 level from the inaugural 1996 Super 12 season, 1996 season. Lower Hutt
Lower Hutt () is a list of cities in New Zealand, city in the Wellington Region of New Zealand. Administered by the Hutt City Council, it is one of the four cities that constitute the Wellington#Wellington metropolitan area, Wellington metropolitan area. 1996 Super 12 Season
The 1996 Super 12 season was the inaugural season of the Super 12, contested by teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The season ran from February to May 1996, with each team playing all the others once. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams entered the playoff semifinals, with the first placed team playing the fourth and the second placed team playing the third. The winner of each semifinal qualified for the final, which was contested between the Auckland Blues and Natal Sharks, with the Blues winning 45–21 to win the first Super 12 title. Manawatu Turbos
The Manawatu Rugby Football Union (MRU) serves as the governing body of the sport of rugby union in the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand. Founded in 1886, Manawatu is one of New Zealand's oldest rugby unions. In 1892, the MRU, amongst other unions, played a pivotal role in establishing the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU). During 1997–1998, Manawatu entered into an amalgamation with , as the "Central Vikings", wearing orange and blue attire. Barbarians (rugby Team)
The Barbarian Football Club, known as the Barbarians, is a British-based invitational rugby union club. The Barbarians play in black and white hoops, though players wear socks from their own club strip. Membership is by invitation. As of 2011, players from 31 countries had played for them. Traditionally at least one uncapped player is selected for each match. Until rugby union became a professional sport, the Barbarians usually played six annual matches: with Penarth, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport at Easter; a game with Leicester on 27 December and the Mobbs Memorial Match against East Midlands in the spring. 2000 End-of-year Rugby Union Internationals
The 2000 end-of-year tests, known in the northern hemisphere as the 2000 Autumn Internationals, was a series of international rugby union matches played in November and December 2000. The hosts were Six Nations Championship countries England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Wales, and Southern Hemisphere side Argentina. Argentina also participated as a touring side, along with Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Romania, Samoa, South Africa and the USA. Samoa Rugby Union Team
The Samoa national rugby union team represents Samoa in men's international rugby union competitions. They are governed by Samoa Rugby Union and also known as "Manu Samoa", which is thought to derive from the name of a Samoan warrior. The England national rugby union team represents the Rugby Football Union (RFU) in international rugby union.
