Jamie Allen (baseball)
James Bradley Allen (born May 29, 1958) is an American former professional baseball third baseman for the Seattle Mariners of the Major League Baseball (MLB). He attended Arizona State University. Amateur career Allen was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the first round of the 1976 MLB draft out of A.C. Davis High School in Yakima, but chose to attend Arizona State. After three years there, he was drafted again by the Seattle Mariners in the second round of the 1979 MLB draft. Professional career Seattle Mariners Allen began his professional career that summer, playing for the Bellingham Mariners of the Northwest League. During an exhibition game in 1982, as a member of the Triple-A Salt Lake City Gulls, Jamie drew a walk to win the game against the major league Seattle Mariners. Timothy James Allen (born 1971) is a British Anglican priest, who from 2009 to 2016 was Dean of Taranaki Cathedral, New Zealand. In England Early ministry Allen was raised in Woodbridge, Suffolk. He was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1999, at the age of 28, after first working as a DJ and as a Religious Education and English teacher. He was a curate for three years at Nuneaton Abbey, St Mary's Abbey in the parish of Nuneaton, Warwickshire until 2002, when he was appointed Rector of Seend, Bulkington, Wiltshire, Bulkington and Poulshot, a group of parishes in Wiltshire. "A Country Parish" Allen and his family were the subject of an eight-part Tiger Aspect Productions British television documentary and reality television programme ''A Country Parish'', first broadcast in 2003. Jamie Paul Allen (born 29 January 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Coventry City. Career Rochdale Born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Allen joined Rochdale's youth system in 2003, aged eight. After being instrumental in the Academy (being also shortlisted for League Two Apprentice of The Year), he signed a professional deal in 2013 summer. Allen made his professional debut on 8 October, starting in a 1–0 win against Port Vale. He has been compared to Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes. Jamie Paul Allen (born 25 May 1995) is a Montserratian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Workington. In 2022, he was a contestant on the eighth series of '' Love Island''. Club career Fleetwood Town Allen started his career with Fleetwood Town, making his Football League debut in 2013. He had loan spells with non-league Barrow and AFC Fylde, before being released in the summer of 2015, having made five appearances and scoring once.
