James Wilson (footballer, Born 2007)
James Wilson (born 6 March 2007) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian and the Scotland national team. Personal life Wilson grew up in Linlithgow and attended Balerno High School in Edinburgh. His twin brothers Alfie and Stanley also developed at the Hearts academy, and have appeared for the club's B-team in the Lowland League in 2025. Club career Wilson signed a first professional contract with Heart of Midlothian in the summer of 2023. He broke through into first team during the 2023-24 season, making three appearances as a substitute, whilst also playing for the Hearts B-team in the Lowland League. He made his professional debut as a 16-year-old in the Scottish Cup on 20 January 2024 in a 2–1 away win against The Spartans. He then made his Scottish Premiership debut against Dundee in May 2024. Edinburgh Derby

Scottish League Cup
The Scottish League Cup, also known as the Premier Sports Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Rangers are the record holders of the cup, winning 28 times. Celtic are the current holders, winning their 22nd title after beating Rangers 3–3 (5-4 pen.) at Hampden Park on 15 December 2024. John Alexander Lambie (18 December 1868 – 25 December 1923) was a Scottish footballer who played as a forward in the 1880s and 1890s. He still holds the records as the youngest Scotland player and captain of all time.
