Jakub Málek
Jakub Málek (born 11 April 2002) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for Ilves of the Liiga as a prospect to the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Málek made his first professional start at 16 years old on 30 January 2019, for VHK Vsetín of the second-tier Czech Chance Liga against HC Stadion Litoměřice, but was pulled midway through the match after conceding four goals. Returning to the Chance Liga more permanently in the 2020–21 season, Málek recorded 8 wins and a .912 save percentage in 14 games. In 7 playoff games, he recorded a .927 en route to a semifinal exit at the hands of HC Dukla Jihlava. In 21 total games at the Chance Liga level, he recorded two shutouts. Despite not being ranked at all by NHL Central Scouting, he would be selected 100th overall in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL entry draft by the New Jersey Devils. Kroměříž

The 2023–24 Euro Hockey Tour was the 28th season of Euro Hockey Tour. It started in November 2023 and lasted until May 2024. It consisted of Karjala Tournament, Swiss Ice Hockey Games, Beijer Hockey Games and Czech Hockey Games. Standings Karjala Tournament The Karjala Tournament was played between 9–12 November 2023. Five matches were being played in Tampere, Finland and one match in Växjö, Sweden. Tournament was won by Czech Republic. Swiss Ice Hockey Games The 2023 Swiss Ice Hockey Games was played between 14 and 17 December 2023. Five matches were played in Zürich, Switzerland and one match in Prague, Czech Republic. Karjala Tournament
The Karjala Tournament (), also known as Karjala Cup, is an annual ice hockey event held in Finland. The name comes from the sponsoring beer brand Karjala. History The tournament started in 1992 as the Sauna Cup. In December 1995, the tournament was played as Christmas Cup at the same time as the Izvestija Trophy tournament, just before the Christmas holiday, causing Russia to send a reserve team to the Christmas Cup. In 1996, the tournament was moved to early November under the sponsorship of Karjala under the name Karjala Tournament. It became part of the annual Euro Hockey Tour (EHT), in which the national teams of Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Sweden compete in a series of tournaments. 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''2022 WJHC'') was the 46th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, held from 9 to 20 August 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from 26 December 2021 through 5 January 2022, in Edmonton and Red Deer — the host cities originally awarded the 2022 tournament before it was moved into a "bubble" behind closed doors competition in Edmonton due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the tournament, multiple teams reported COVID-19 outbreaks. Consequently, the IIHF decided on 29 December 2021 to cancel the tournament.
