Jakub Holuša
Jakub Holuša (, born 20 February 1988) is a former Czech middle-distance runner. He represented his country in the men's 800 meters at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2016 Olympics, he competed in the 1500 meters. He particularly excelled in indoor racing, winning a number of medals over 800 and 1500 meters at international championship competitions. Running career Holuša first took up athletics in the steeplechase discipline. He made his international debut at the 2005 World Youth Championships in Athletics, where he finished seventh overall in the boys' 2000-meter steeplechase. He gradually switched from training for the steeplechase to focusing on the 800 meters, for which he qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics. After many years of racing as an 800-meter runner, he broke out in the 1500 meters when he ran a sub-3:40 result in the men's 1500 at the World Indoor Championships. 2018 Meeting De Paris
The 2018 Meeting de Paris was the 24th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Paris, France. Held on 30 June 2018 at the Stade Sébastien Charléty, it was the seventh leg of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. Seven world-leading performances were set, including Qatari Abderrahman Samba's Asian record time of 46.98 seconds in the men's 400 metres hurdles and Caster Semenya's 1:54.25 minutes for the women's 800 metres. Both these were meeting records, as were Mariya Lasitskene's 2.04 m in the women's high jump and Sandra Perković's 68.60 m in the women's discus throw. Hengelo, Netherlands
Hengelo (; Tweants: ) is a city in the eastern part of the Netherlands, in the Twente region, in the province of Overijssel. It is part of a larger urban area that also includes Enschede, Borne, Almelo and Oldenzaal. Due to its geomorphology, being situated relatively low in the landscape, Hengelo is a place where streams converge. By consequence, it became a crossroad, inhabited early on in history, which has made it into an infrastructural hub and an industrial centre today. For the 19th century industry, water was needed for bleaching textile, while factories also needed water for their steam engines, and for cooling. Dukla Prague
Dukla Prague () was a Czech football club from the city of Prague. Established in 1948 as ATK Praha, the club won a total of 11 Czechoslovak league titles and eight Czechoslovak Cups, and in the 1966–67 season, reached the semi-finals of the European Cup. As late as 1985–86 they reached the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup semi-final and they also made a great impact in the American Challenge Cup competition in New York City with four wins between 1961 and 1964. The club sent seven players to the silver medal-winning Czechoslovakia national team in the 1962 World Cup, in a year which saw them win the fifth of their domestic league titles as well as their player Josef Masopust be named European Footballer of the Year. 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships
The 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics was the fifteenth edition of the international indoor track and field competition, organised by the IAAF. The event was held between 7–9 March 2014 at the Ergo Arena in Sopot, Poland. Preparation Host bidding The International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF announced on 1 September 2011 that it had received bids from Poland and Croatia to host the championships. Later Zagreb, Croatia withdrew due to lack of funding. On 11 November 2011 at a Council meeting in Monaco, the IAAF announced that Sopot, as the only remaining bidder, would host the championships. Budapest, Hungary had shown interest but eventually did not bid. Venue The Championships were held at the Ergo Arena, opened in 2010, on the border of the cities of Sopot and Gdańsk.
